This talk will document the development and validation of a new high resolution, cross-calibrated, multi-platform satellite surface wind data set for both meteorological and oceanographic applications, recent Quikscat and ASCAT data impact experiments, and the use of Quikscat data in the development of very high resolution global atmosphe4ic models.
